§ 180-10. Effective date of permit.

  • A. 
    All permits shall be in effect as of the date of issuance and shall remain in effect for a period of six months. In the event that water supply construction under the permit has not been completed at the expiration of six months from the date of issuance, the permit shall cease and terminate.
    B. 
    In the event that a permit expires and construction has not begun, an application for a new permit must be submitted with appropriate fee.
    C. 
    A request for an extension to a permit after construction has begun must be submitted, in writing, to the Township Code Enforcement Officer, 10 days before the expiration date of the original permit. An extension is limited to 30 days. Any subsequent request for an extension of time in which to complete water supply construction shall be limited to an application for a new permit and payment of the appropriate fee.
    D. 
    Failure to obtain a new permit or an extension of the original permit prior to expiration and prior to completion of construction will result in the landowner being prosecuted in accordance with the violations provision of this chapter.
